It all began when a friend of mine, a loan officer, encouraged me to join the industry. I always enjoyed running numbers and on the weekends, I’d find myself studying the housing market or I was out looking at open houses for fun. As a new mom at that time, I thought it would be the perfect fit as it would allow me to stay home with my daughter while working non-traditional hours in the real estate industry. In 2005, I began working as a mortgage consultant at a local mortgage company. I had a great mentor to show me the business and I was lucky enough to spend many months training with him. As my business grew, I quickly realized that originating loans and being a stay at home mom didn’t work very well. For the next several years, I worked in the real estate and mortgage industries in various roles. During that time, I gained experience as a Loan Officer Assistant and as a Realtor. My experience has given me a good understanding of both the lending and real estate sides of a transaction and it has helped prepare me for the role I have today.
Five years ago, a past client called me looking for advice on who to contact for a refinance. Chris Salese was the first person that came to mind and was the only person who I felt I could trust with my clients. I quickly sent them his way. That’s where my journey started at Del Sur Mortgage. Chris invited me to join his team as a Marketing Assistant. I have to admit, a marketing role was one thing I never pictured for myself. Since I like a challenge, I jumped right in and ended up loving it! My role has grown quite a bit over the years and today I enjoy my position as our Office Manager. I still spend time working on our marketing efforts, but most of my work is done behind the scenes making sure the office is running smoothly so our processing team can give 100% attention to your file!
I love Napa! My husband and I are both Napa natives, high school sweethearts believe or not! We’re grateful to raise our two daughters in the place we grew up. When I’m not at the office, you can probably find me in my car driving my girls to the dance studio. The bumper stickers that say, “I have no life, my daughter is a dancer” are SO true! When the girls aren’t dancing, we like to camp or escape to the beach as often as possible.
